and Welcome to the accumulation of my bullshit. My Name is Alessio Nocera and I'd consider myself to be a so called "jack of all trades". My fascination for Motion Picture startet at a young age, influenced by Characters such as Lightning McQueen, Jack Sparrow and Anakin Skywalker. During my Apprenticeship as a Building Engineer I started developing my Hobby as a Photographer into a Side-Hustle. Around that time I started “The Randomcast” with Robin, my dear best friend from childhood. A Podcast where we proudly complain about everything we don’t know better. The year 2020 arrived, I got Fired, the Pandemic hit and I was knee deep in shit trying to get a foot into the Film Industry. To learn the craft I took every unpaid technician job at any student film I could, while simultaneously working as a freelance event technician. Some unpaid studentfilms later I met Tim, a genius filmmaker and maniac, with whom I would go on to produce various low-budget pictures under the brand of “Faultea Films”. Eventually I got offered to work on my first ever feature film and more and more paid work slowly started rolling in after that. By the Year of 2022 I have left behind the dream-job of a Director of Photography and focused on learning about the process itself. The Industry changed from what I have known as a child to remakes and supposed diversity instead of intelligent and compelling written stories. Therefore my goal changed from making Movies for MainStream Cinema to Making MainStream Cinema interesting again. I became a member of “Set Management”, the national association of Assistant Directors, Set-/Location- and Unit-Managers. I make it my Job as an Assistant Director to give the cast and crew all the tools they need to create a great picture in order for me to learn how to become a great director myself.
